About Me
Hey y'all! My name is Shelby. I am a conceptual portrait and landscape photographer based out of Northern Colorado. My journey to where I am now has not been smooth, it has taken me over mountains, rivers, and seas. To the most breath taking places in this world and into the depths of my own despair. But in the end it lead me to discover my passion.

I fell in love with landscape photography on a trip to Iceland in 2018. Since then, I found that I am drawn to capturing wide angle and large panoramic scenes that show off the expanse of nature.

The excitement for self portraiture came along, not so naturally. When the first covid-19 shutdown took place, I was forced to use myself as the model . Somewhere in the middle of that chaos., I uncovered a way to tell my own stories.

Through self portraiture I was able to find a beauty in being photographed that I never experienced before. With my portraiture, ] want to give that to others.' to capture their soul and show their inner beauty.
About My Photography
As a self- portrait artist, my passion lies in creating characters inspired by the struggles and emotions that come from being neurodivergent in an all too typical world. I tend to explore this side of myself through a mixture of light and dark.

While my images come from a place of personal exploration, my goal is to create a piece that not only tells my story, but ultimately shows the viewer a part of themselves. I strongly believe that art is a mirror that connects the creator and the observer.

This theme of personal exploration through light and dark continues into my other portraiture work. I strive to work with other creative souls to capture their own truth and the beauty that radiates within them .

When it comes to my landscapes, I seek to capture the energy of the land . I focus on telling this story through the way the highlights and shadows play with each other to take an impeccable photograph.
